Adversities lend to opportunities and allows for our inner strength to grow one’s self and others. I truly believe that James and Danny’s paths will cross again as they made an excellent team. Press on to live your BEST LIFE! Sincerely one of your biggest fans.

Comment on Fatality & Fame is out now!!! by hawktopus https://clockworkbird.net/fatality-fame-is-out-now/#comment-7 Thu, 14 Oct 2021 06:36:52 +0000 http://clockworkbird.net/?p=797#comment-7 Hello! I haven’t had a chance to play the DLC yet, but I just wanted to say how much I’ve enjoyed Silicon Dreams. The writing, the absurdly detailed web of cause and effect, the music, the everything! It’s criminal the game hasn’t gotten more attention. I’m part of a Discord group that regularly watches movies and streams games about AI, and we had a blast streaming this one (and, of course, playing it both as a group and independently). It’s always a delight to realize how differently a conversation could have gone when we talk about our playthroughs after. For instance – when I first spoke with Atter, he seemed like a mostly decent guy. A friend went down different conversational branches and found him to be utterly loathsome (and berated him for being a terrible father). My conversation with R-1982 ended abruptly, as my D-0527 followed orders; a friend let the interrogation go on long enough that R-1984 deviated and begged for his life. She later tried to recreate her first playthrough to take screenshots of the dialogue – and found herself unable to replicate it because of the conversational nuances of the interrogations. There’s so much going on here, and that is *awesome.* 😀

I look forward to taking on the new subjects (and, I must say, was delighted to see D-0704 mentioned as a fellow interrogator on one of the cases). Thank you for creating something so engaging – and for prompting many hours of discussion, dissection, and general enjoyment in our group on Discord.

Comment on Silicon Dreams: A Micro-Postmortem by ja307020 https://clockworkbird.net/silicon-dreams-a-micro-postmortem/#comment-6 Mon, 11 Oct 2021 06:55:20 +0000 http://clockworkbird.net/?p=778#comment-6 As understandable as it is, I’m sad the game didn’t sell better–it absolutely deserved to. SD is one of the best thought out android media I’ve played or seen, and I absolutely love the depth you guys put into the conversation system. Between friends and myself, I’ve played/watched seven times now, and I’m still encountering new dialog and consequences.

Thanks so much for your time and creativity. Whatever you have planned in the future, I’ll look forward to checking it out!

Comment on Silicon Dreams: A Micro-Postmortem by Mike https://clockworkbird.net/silicon-dreams-a-micro-postmortem/#comment-4 Wed, 29 Sep 2021 16:30:50 +0000 http://clockworkbird.net/?p=778#comment-4 Thanks for the post-mortem. I think that while this might not have been a commercial success it was a successful game I enjoyed. And as a fan it was a natural follow up to Spinnortality, which means I’m excited for whatever you make next. If you launched pre-sales for an unknown next game on an unknown timeline, I’d buy.

Comment on Silicon Dreams: a hidden gem! (Too hidden for our liking) by Kusac Kavka https://clockworkbird.net/silicon-dreams-a-hidden-gem-too-hidden-for-our-liking/#comment-3 Thu, 29 Apr 2021 16:01:34 +0000 http://clockworkbird.net/?p=709#comment-3 The niche market is definitely small for games like this, which really is a shame. I had tried the demo several times, and eagerly awaited the full release. Not disappointed at all. I especially enjoyed the… sudden changes…to perspective as well. I’ll also be leaving a Steam review after I had played it in different ways.
